Hunger Games guided response 2

The title goes so well with this story. The games are so intense and, to me, make you hungry for more. The more you read the more you want to read. All the detail and everything about the games makes you want to know what happens next. I couldn’t imagine being on the train on the way to the games. That would be so nerve racking. I think the title is a very curious title as well. If you just read the title alone and know nothing about the book, you can get all sorts of ideas. Once you start to read the book though it gets you really excited to learn about these games. The whole beginning gets your mind wondering because everything that is said seems to revolve around these games and for it to be called “Hunger” games it just makes you think who or what is hungry and what for. Are there huge animals that come from hiding somewhere and not only do you have to fight other people you have to kill starving animals? Or is it the crowd that is hungry for death so whether or not you win the battle they will kill you anyways so people can see death? After starting the book I really want to know what or who is the hungry one. I am so excited to keep reading and I have no idea what to expect. All I can think about at the moment is Hunger Games and how Katnis, the girl, is going to stay alive.

  1. Excellent work with the title, Kaleb. I've never really thought of the significance of "hunger" beyond the obvious need to eat. Good work.
