Week Three:

The reason I am taking this class is because I have never read a book and I do not ever read anything. I have a very poor vocabulary and I am not someone you would call very book smart. However, I do have common sense. I am much better working with my hands then doing any type of school work. It will be a major challenge for me starting off because I have nothing in common with this class but that’s also why I am taking it. I want to read and I do not want to sound like an idiot when I talk or interact with people of higher authority then I am. I hope that in this class and can at least expand my reading ability and that it will open me up to a lot of new things. I know that just by taking this class will not change who I am or what my interests are but it might help me not despise everything about reading and maybe, just maybe enjoy it a little. I have tried to read a lot of different things because everyone tells me I just have not found something that I am interested in yet but everything that does interests me does not if I have to read about it. I do not know if there is like a secret behind reading that gets you to get involved but what ever it is i would like to know so please tell me!
